# Export Trello boards and cards to clean PDFs Trello to PDF with a clean layout. Turn a board, a list or a single card into a readable PDF report automatically with Zapier, Make or n8n. **Quick answer.** Pick a trigger, like a card moving to Done or a weekly schedule. Zapier, Make or n8n pulls the cards, fills a template, html-pdf.com turns it into a PDF, and the PDF is emailed or saved to your drive. ## What you'll build A weekly status report with every card in your Done list. A client handover PDF for each finished card, with its description, checklist and due date. A printable copy of a whole board for a meeting. Trello's own print view shows the board as it looks on screen. Here you choose a layout that reads well on paper, like a table, a list of cards with details, or one page per card. ## What you need - **A Trello account** with the board you want to export. - **Zapier**, **Make** or **n8n**. - **A design.** The [report template](https://html-pdf.com/templates/report) works well for status updates. A template is a ready made page design, so you only change the text. - **An API key** from [html-pdf.com](https://html-pdf.com/login). You get 100 free pages once, with no card. ## Step by step with Zapier (one PDF per card) 1. **Trigger.** Create a Zap with **Trello** and the event **Card Moved to List**. Choose your board and the Done list. 2. **Make the PDF.** Add **Webhooks by Zapier → Custom Request**. Method `POST`, URL `https://html-pdf.com/v1/pdf`. 3. **Headers.** `Authorization` with `Bearer hp_live_...` and `Content-Type` with `application/json`. 4. **Data.** Paste the JSON below and map the card name, description and due date. 5. **Deliver.** Add **Gmail → Send Email** with the `url` in **Attachments**, or **Google Drive → Upload File**. ```json { "html": "

", "filename": "homepage-redesign.pdf", "response": "url" } ``` The `url` is a download link that works for 24 hours. See the [Zapier guide](https://html-pdf.com/guides/zapier) for every option. ## Step by step with Make or n8n (whole board report) For a report with many cards, Make and n8n are easier because they can loop over a list. 1. **Schedule.** In n8n add a **Schedule Trigger**. In Make, set the scenario schedule to weekly. 2. **Get cards.** In n8n, use the **Trello** node with **Card → Get Many** (or call `GET https://api.trello.com/1/boards/| Card | Due |
